Environment
The ROTHENBERGER Group strives to do its part to protect the environment and stop the warming of the climate.
The changing climate, the increasing lack of resources, the oceans and beaches full of plastic waste show that we humans have imposed too much on the earth. Active commitment to environmental protection is urgently needed to secure the future of our planet. The ROTHENBERGER Group is striving to do its part to protect the environment and stop the warming of the climate. To this end, we are increasingly involved in various large and small environmental protection projects. Our first, ambitious goal: climate-neutral production by the year 2025!
Photovoltaic systems
At the ROTHENBERGER site in Kelkheim, four photovoltaic systems with monocrystalline solar cells have been installed since 2020. The solar modules on the roofs of the buildings in Kelkheim Fischbach and Kelkheim Münster are distributed over an area of 2800 square meters.
500 photovoltaic modules will convert sunlight into electrical energy from August 2021. The photovoltaic systems are estimated to save around 500 tons of CO2 per year. Our goal is to be self-sufficient by 2025 and feed the remaining electricity into the regional grid.
Sustainable system solutions
We see a contribution to sustainability in the combinability and multifunctionality of our pipe tools and machines. System solutions not only save our customers money, but also protect valuable resources of our planet. Particularly durable and hard-wearing materials also ensure a long service life. By expanding our product range on the basis of CAS batteries that can be used by all manufacturers, we enable our customers to save resources. Another sustainable system solution is the ROCASE case system. It is made of durable, weather-resistant material. Users can safely store and transport their tools in these transport cases. Since our tools are already delivered in ROCASE and the ROBOX sorting boxes, superfluous packaging waste is eliminated, a plus for our customers - and for our environment.
