Aluminium closure plates are used to cover and close-off fire catchment areas, usually old fire places leading to a flue liner or chimney. It is essential that the closure plate is sealed off completely when fitted to keep products of combustion out of a room and to stop heat disappearing up the chimney. Rothenberger closure plate tape is thermosetting and will adhere securely to aluminium, plaster, brick and concrete. Using closure plate tape is a requirement of the Gas Safety Regulations and Conforms to British Gas PRS10 issue 2 specifications.
