TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation
Clean drinking water and a functioning energy supply are still not a matter of course in many parts of the world. Pipes and power lines are like arteries in the human body. Without access to water and energy, a decent life is not possible. Education is another key to development. It, too, is not accessible to everyone. But only with education can prosperity also be created for future generations.
Against this background, the Rothenberger family established the TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation in 2008, which has been committed to the common good ever since. With the partner network that has been built up over the years, the projects are implemented and also accompanied after completion. The projects supported are designed for sustainable improvement of living conditions and permanence. The motto "helping people to help themselves" guides the foundation's work.
HERO Award
With the HERO Award, the TOOLS FOR LIFE Foundation annually honours organisations and people who stand up for people and against grievances in everyday life. The prize money is collected with the "Donations instead of gifts" campaign, which is supported by companies close to the foundation and employees of ROTHENBERGER AG.
Miteinander leben in Kelkheim e.V. is our HERO 2019. The association is committed to an integrative and colourful society in Kelkheim. Miteinander leben in Kelkheim was founded in 2017 to bundle the voluntary commitment that was widely visible as a reaction to the many refugees in 2015. The aim of the association is to help shape a diverse, open and tolerant community in Kelkheim.
