Christian Nowag from Markranstädt takes first place in the competition for young masters
Winners and participants of the ROTHENBERGER Master Prize were the focus of attention on September 29, 2017 in the TEC-Center of ROTHENBERGER in Kelkheim: Eight young masters of the plumbing and heating engineering trade had to implement a pre-wall construction according to drawings. The judges assessed dimensional accuracy, technical ability, speed and cleanliness of the implementation.The result: Christian Nowag from Markranstädt took first place, Max Grundmann from Radeburg took second place, third place was awarded twice and went to Tobias Hennig from Kleinheubach and Marek Battke from Berlin. The first three places received prize money amounting to EUR 3,000, EUR 2,000 and EUR 1,000. Christian Nowag's master school will also receive a ROTHENBERGER hand tool case worth 400 euros.
Dr. Christian Heine, CEO of ROTHENBERGER AG, congratulated the winners and participants at the award ceremony: "All participants did a great job and held a fair competition in which they even supported each other and showed real team spirit. Hats off and congratulations to the winners!"
Christoph Theelen, Vocational Training Officer at the Central Association for Sanitary, Heating and Air Conditioning (ZVSHK), also focuses on participation in the competition: "It is a big step to put yourself to the test again after the master's examination - some want to have their peace after such a milestone. The winners and participants of the Master Prize wanted to know - and have gained experience and learned something about themselves".
The Master Prize is organized by ROTHENBERGER together with the ZVSHK in the Bundesleistungszentrum (BLZ) for the HVAC professions in Schweinfurt. Master plumbers and heating contractors who have obtained their master craftsman's title in 2015, 2016 or 2017 were invited to participate.
The competition was held on September 15, 2017. The jury consisted of Josef Bock (branch manager of the guild Schweinfurt and national trainer HVAC), André Schnabel (WorldSkills expert HVAC) and Ingried Gerber (technical consultant, ROTHENBERGER Werkzeuge GmbH). The Master Prize takes place every two years and was held for the third time this year. The BLZ in Schweinfurt under the direction of national trainer HVAC Josef Bock has been the venue of the competition since the beginning and offers ideal conditions for building and evaluating the required pre-wall constructions due to its premises designed for training courses.
