Change in the Executive Board at ROTHENBERGER
The ROTHENBERGER Group closes the year 2020 with numerous sales records and a near doubling of the annual result. The strong growth of the previous year continues in the first quarter of 2021. The Supervisory Board of ROTHENBERGER AG announces a change in the company's Executive Board.
Philipp Kannengießer leaves the company and Christian Diehl becomes the new Chief Financial Officer. The newly established Executive Board will continue the success of the world's leading manufacturer of pipe tools and machines.
Philipp Kannengießer will leave the company by best mutual agreement on 31 May 2021 in order to devote himself to new tasks outside the company. The Supervisory Board of ROTHENBERGER AG appoints Christian Diehl as the new Chief Financial Officer with effect from 01.06.2021. He will take over from Philipp Kannengießer and will be responsible for finance, controlling, human resources, IT, digitalisation and compliance.
The Supervisory Board and the owner family would like to thank Philipp Kannengießer for five extremely successful years in which the company has significantly increased its profitability as well as its performance in the operational areas. Dr. Helmut Rothenberger, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ROTHENBERGER AG explains: "Thanks to the structural improvements accompanied by Mr. Kannengießer, the ROTHENBERGER Group sees itself well equipped to further expand its leading position for modern pipe tools and equipment worldwide. We regret his departure, thank him for his outstanding achievements and wish Mr Kannengießer all the best for the future."
Christian Diehl brings more than 20 years of management experience in internationally active production companies in the Siemens Group as well as in large international family-owned companies. He is very familiar with the sanitary, heating and air conditioning industry. "With Christian Diehl, we have been able to gain a management personality with an entrepreneurial profile and proven industry experience. Before graduating with a degree in business administration, Mr. Diehl acquired his knowledge in his parents' wholesale company and during his training as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant in the sanitary and heating industry. He has achieved impressive success in building up companies, restructuring and sustainably increasing results and efficiency in the electronics, automotive supply and mechanical and plant engineering industries," reports Dr Rothenberger.
At the same time, the Executive Board contract with Dr Christian Heine, Chairman of the Executive Board, was extended ahead of schedule until 2025. Dr Helmut Rothenberger is satisfied with the planned reorganisation "We are pleased that we were able to set the course for a smooth transition at an early stage and wish the new team every success."
