The Cordless Alliance System (CAS) is a manufacturer-independent battery system founded in 2018 that is based on Metabo's innovative and powerful 18V battery technology.
This alliance is backed by 40 strong brands that offer you more than 400 products for this cordless system. It offers cordless freedom and flexibility for professionals in trade and industry.

CAS battery technology is based on the powerful 18V battery system from Metabo. The system is backwards compatible, which means that you can use all products from the CAS Alliance with 18V Metabo batteries since 2009. This means that you can still use older tools and batteries.

CAS LIHD rechargeable batteries are particularly powerful rechargeable batteries from the CAS rechargeable battery portfolio. They impress with their significantly higher power output in a compact housing. With a maximum output of up to 3200 watts, the LIHD batteries have been developed for particularly tough applications and are available with 4.4 Ah, 5.5 Ah, 8.0 Ah and even 10 Ah battery capacity.

The system is compatible with over 400 devices from more than 40 leading manufacturers of power tools and machines, such as Metabo, Mafell and Rothenberger. You can find a list of all the brands in this strong alliance on the CAS website

By using a universal battery system, the need for additional batteries and chargers is reduced, which minimises waste and conserves valuable resources. All CAS battery products from alliance partners have been compatible with Metabo's 18V batteries since 2009, and the batteries are specially sealed to protect them from moisture ingress in tough working conditions and extend their service life. All of this supports the sustainable use of energy and materials.

ROTHENBERGER offers the CAS batteries in the 18 V power versions 2.0, 4.0, 4.0 Li-HD and 8.0 Li-HD. The particularly powerful Li-HD battery versions offer even longer runtimes and a more constant power output.
